As Thanksgiving approaches, it is a great time to take stock of all the things we have in our lives. It is with such a grateful heart that I thank each and every one of you for sharing with us the gift of your child each day. I feel such appreciation for the second home I come to every day and the joy that the children bring to my life.
This week we explored our sense of hearing. We experimented listening with both ears as opposed to just one and found that as sound is farther away it is harder to differentiate which location it is coming from. We also explored how much trickier it is to differentiate sounds when your eyes are closed. Then the most fun of all....making something move by using sound vibrations...we watched salt move on a makeshift drum from our really loud screaming!!! You really can't ask for more fun than loud pitched screaming that is being asked for by your teacher!!!!
We celebrated Lila's 6th birthday this morning with her family. In your child's Friday bag today you will see what part your child plays in the upcoming production. When we come back our schedule will be quite different to allow for many different practices with the whole school/part of the school etc. Kindergarten made pumpkin bread yesterday which we all enjoyed this morning!!!
I hope everyone has lots of opportunities for rest, fun and family over the Thanksgiving Break.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Primary Team!
