Crafting Kindergarteners

Kindergarteners took their first walking field trip of the year today, making tracks for a morning of crafting and sharing a meal out on the town. We had a cozy morning together circled around Kim, the owner of Hearts on Fiber, as she led us through a weaving activity. Our students learned that individuals from around the world have been weaving for thousands of years. Each student had great focus on this weaving project as they created unique works of beauty. After crafting, we shared a fantastic meal at Mandolino’s and then headed back to school. Their excitement for being out on the town and creating was contagious. #bestmonday
