Fall Overnight Field Trip: Lower Elementary

Our annual trip to Camp Rockmont, nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, was filled with adventure and community.  This trip builds the foundation for future overnights trips and instills a sense of independence that is very new to this age group.  Some of the fun activities that we did include: learning about and working on the Rockmont farm, going down the gully washer and other amazing waterfront activities, smores by the fire, night games, and exploring the land.  In addition to all of that excitement, some of the most amazing learning happens when they work to support each other, try new things they never have before, and do for themselves. It is inspiring to see the growth and sense of pride they have at the end of this trip.
